I found some quest nails when I met up with Hjalmar in the crappy village. The Lord of Undvik is a Skellige side quest with suggested level 17, which is obtained after talking to Crache; it involves finding and helping his son, Hjalmar. I didn't know about the 200XP so that is a nice detail to learn... because if you only get it BEFORE killing the giant that would mean a lot of extra back and forth. Arrrr cant stress how good they arrrr. Search around and in a bag with loot you will find twine in the cave. Explored the whole island, but only found nails!! After that you can go to the dock and talk to hjalmar and be done with everything. Any other items I am not sure of.

If you kill the giant and then give Octo his items, it's possible, but I don't believe you get the XP for it, as Hjalmar's quest is technically complete.

I hate it. If you ever road a boat near the island then you may have the option to reach the island through fast travel while steering your boat, just use the anchor icon if it's there and done.

Also that dwarven forge is near that area, to complete the master armorer quest.

Which is precisely why the 200 XP was so worth the back and forth to me lmao. Ah, I found the nails, but indeed haven't found the twine either.

Near there is one place where I found the clips. After defeating the Lord of Undvik, be sure to collect loot from him, there is a lot of interesting things there.

Hope this helps someone avoid all the frustration I had to go through to get that sweet sweet XP. If you complete Hjalmar's quest first, you simply can't give Octo the items.

I don't know if this is still true, or if I've played the patched version and that's the reason I got the XP. I sprint through that ASAP. Far as I can tell it's not explicitly a quest but you can pick up nails about the island in groups of ~20 that are marked as quest items so there must be something to it.

You can't give Octo nails that you'd normally find or acquire from dismantling, they HAVE to be nails from that village. All wrote abot simple items...what can we do with this situation( Im out.

I'll probably go with the audio books as well, as I have a hard time staying focused when I'm reading. Then go back and tell the dude in the ship you killed the giant.
